FOOTBALL: Stourport Swifts suffered their second successive Southern League Division One West away defeat as they lost 2-0 at Corby Town last night.
The home side took the lead in the 15th minute when Swifts failed to clear a corner and Andrew Brown headed home from close range.
It took Stourport until the 44th minute for Ronnie Sayer to force a save out of Richard Lavin.
Swifts 'keeper Aaron O'Malley had to make a good save early in the second-half to deny Reece Lester.
But then Mark Atkinson burst into the Corby area and was fouled by Stewart Marshall.
Nick Green stepped up to take the spot-kick but saw Lavin make a great diving save.
The ball rebounded to Green but he blasted over from two yards.
Swifts saw chances fall to Atkinson and Daniel Mason, then Simon Marsh shot wide from six yards.
O'Malley denied Corby twice and Swifts had late chances which fell to Andy Jones and Craig Webb.
But Stourport let in an injury-time second when Mike Sneddon dribbled past half their team to slot home.
