THREE Eliza Doolittles are involved in My Fair Lady at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre next week, but never fear - only one will be taking this year's leading role.
Stratford Operatic Society's Terri Watters has the 2004 honour, but she will have plenty to talk about to fellow actor Julie Bedlow-Howard, who played Eliza in 1989, and Gill Hutsby, who played the part in 1972.
Spokesman for the amateur group Kevin Hand said: "This year Julie is the choreographer and Gill is in the chorus. It's nice to think we have such a lot of loyalty in our drama society." He added: "Rehearsals are going very well and we can't wait for curtain up on October 26."
Henry Higgins is being played by KES old boy Roger Ganner, Chris Dobson is Alfred Doolittle and Mike Grimes will be taking the role of Colonel Pickering, with Estelle Hand as director. For tickets call the box office on 01789 404392.
