BLUE tits to blackbirds, sparrows to song thrushes, the RSPB is urging people everywhere to fill a bird feeder to supports its Feed the Birds Day on Saturday, October 30.
To help, the RSPB is handing out thousands of free celebrity packs covering everything from creating a pond and building a nest box to planting a garden to attract wildlife.
The packs include Alan Titchmarsh's tips on plants, Ainsley Harriott's on making a bird cake and Charlie Dimmock's advice on installing a pond.
Around three million bird feeders are left empty daily across the country, according to new RSPB research, despite six in ten adults feeding garden birds.
Andy Waters at the RSPB said: "By filling empty bird feeders on Feed the Birds Day you will be providing some well-need treats for the birds in your garden."
He explained: "Winter is a difficult time for many birds.
"A little food, water and shelter can really help birds and turn your garden into a wildlife haven for everyone to enjoy."
Packs are available by calling 0870 601 0215 or from www.rspb.org.uk/feedthebirds.
