MOTORISTS and bus passengers face disruption when road works are carried out on Bewdley bypass next week.
The resurfacing works - at three separate parts of the bypass - begin on Monday and are expected to last throughout the week.
They have been scheduled for the half-term week to keep disruption to a minimum.
The points at which the works will be carried out are Catchems End roundabout and the junctions with the Stourport Road and Cleobury Road.
Work will be carried out during the daytime, with traffic management and a convoy control system in operation. Traffic will be able to use the bypass for the duration of the works but vehicles will be delayed due to restrictions in carriageway widths.
Emilie van der Graaff, passenger transport development manager for Worcestershire County Council, said: "We appreciate that these road works will temporarily create some issues for bus passengers but, equally, we need to undertake these maintenance works and services will only be disrupted for a short time."
