PERSHORE College is hoping to bring a little bit of Vale heritage into residents' back gardens with specially grown fruit trees.
Worcestershire, once famed for its orchards, has seen a decline in fruit growing over the years with many local varieties becoming rare. Worcestershire County Council's Countryside Service is offering people the chance to grow their own apple, pear, plum or cherry tree.
The trees are pot-grown, cost £15 and are available from the college until the end of February. For an application form call 01905 766493 or download one from www.worcestershire.-gov.uk/countryside.
