A MOCK exercise in flood crisis management in Wyre Forest has been hailed a success by those taking part.
Representatives of organisations including emergency services, local authorities and the Bewdley Residents' Flood Committee attended the exercise - Operation Troy - which was held in Kidderminster's Gainsborough House Hotel on Tuesday.
The aim of the exercise was to test out procedures that would be implemented in the event of major flooding in Stourport, Bewdley or Kidderminster.
Phil Foxley, the Environment Agency's flood warning team leader for the Upper Severn area, which includes Wyre Forest, said: "You can't overestimate the value of meeting people. Valuable lessons will be learned and it was an opportunity to talk through the issues.
"We had the chance to learn how each other's organisations worked and it was a valuable opportunity to work with and talk to the victims of flooding and take their views into account."
