A LUCKY county man has bagged himself two months free membership to a Worcester gym - thanks to the Evening News.

Paul Savage, of Droitwich Road, Fernhill Heath, near Worcester, fought off competition from more than 100 other hopefuls who had entered the Evening News prize draw.

Entrants had to fill in a form, simply stating the correct telephone number of the Body and Soul gym, in Orchard Street, to be eligible to win the prize.

THREE winners scooped a total of £250 in Tesco vouchers after entering an Evening News competition.

A total of 1,209 people entered the competition in the hope of dashing through the aisles with a trolley load of shopping without having to put their hand in their pocket.

The competition, which featured in last month's Treasure Trove supplement, was run in conjunction with the Tesco store in St Peter's Drive, Worcester, and entrants had to complete a wordsearch.

The first prize winner, a Mrs Corns, won £150 worth of vouchers, while the runners up, Mrs Powell and Mrs Stabler, scooped £50 each.

David Rouse, of Clayhall Road, Droitwich, won a £950 mobility scooter after correctly answering that the award won by DG Health and Mobility Centre, which has three outlets in the city, was the Investor in People award.

Anyone who entered the competition but does not want to receive related information should contact the Evening News' promotions dept on 01905 742213.
