A MULTI-agency pilot scheme is offering a pinch of pizzazz and the opportunity to make new friends at a lunchtime social club for the over 50s.
The Woman's Royal Voluntary Service, supported by Age Concern, Crossroads Care, and Worcestershire County Council is opening a meeting place at the Fairfield Community Centre, Fairfield Close, Brickfields.
The meetings run on Fridays between 10am and 1pm, and anyone over 50 can partake in quizzes, soak up local interest and topical talks or take part in a game of cards among friends.
There is even the opportunity to get the heart racing with some light exercise classes - a perfect accompaniment to the healthy lunch on offer.
WRVS organiser, Helen Lubin, said there would always be something going on to suit every taste.
"This is a great club. Since the Seniors Social Club opened in February, we've been delighted with the response from the local community," she said.
Ms Lubin added that club membership numbers were growing.
