UPTON Town Council will consider whether to remain involved in the Riverside Towns Consortium.
Coun Eric White, who attended a meeting of the group on October 11, said he had doubts the council should continue to pay £600 a year to be a member.
He said he did not feel a guide produced for the towns in the consortium did anything to boost Upton and that too much money was spent on members attending exhibitions and events.
"The thing we have to ask is are there better things we could do with £600 in terms of marketing ourselves?" he said.
The Riverside Towns Consortium promotes towns including Upton, Worcester and Pershore.
