Each desperate scheme from this Hereford team
Deserves to be met with derision;
It's long been assumed that the library's doomed;
Thank heavens we've got television.
We have waited for years, yet no progress appears;
No wonder all Ledbury's cross.
We are touched on the raw, that we've drawn the short straw,
When we contemplate Leominster or Ross.
We're fobbed off with this and we're fobbed off with that,
And that is what fills us with fury.
You would think twice perhaps before asking these chaps
To arrange ... an event .... in a brewery.
To move on from here, I've a better idea;
I suggest people all swap positions.
Let the council withdraw and start hoovering the floor
Whilst the cleaners take all the decisions.
KEN DODSWORTH, Underdown, Ledbury.
