THE A417 fatality you reported (Malvern Gazette & Ledbury Reporter, October 8) is the sixth I have noticed on the Corse-Ledbury stretch since we came to live her three years ago.
In the face of apparent complacency by the relevant authority, I would suggest that signs should be erected urgently, as elsewhere at black spots, to indicate what a very dangerous road it is. The last two deaths were of people from outside the region who perhaps were not familiar with it.
Serious measures should be taken to tackle the shockingly aggressive driving hereabouts - of which on the majority of our Bromsberrow Heath to Ledbury journeys, we see more than during 2,000 miles in France recently.
DR C W R LONG, Bromsberrow Heath, Ledbury.
