REHEARSALS have begun for the Malvern Theatre Players' next production, The Snow Queen.
The play, adapted from the Hans Christian Andersen story, follows a little girl called Gerda as she searches for her best friend Kay, who has been snatched away by the wicked Snow Queen.
The production features a cast of 30 people, including Tamara Seabright as the Snow Queen and Harriet Lloyd and Luke Lupton as Kay and Gerda.
The play has been written for the players by Harriet Demoy with music by local composer Iain Young.
Students from Worcester College of Technology's art and design course are designing and making the costumes after previous success in last year's production of A Christmas Carol.
The Snow Queen runs from January 13 to 22 at the Forum.
