STUART Brock has been given a shock second chance in the Coca-Cola League after his release from Kidderminster Harriers in the summer.

The goalkeeper, who spent nearly seven years in Worcestershire, penned a two-year deal at Telford United to play in the Unibond League Division One this season along with midfielder Sean Parrish.

It was a surprisingly large drop in standards for both players but Brock has now moved above Harriers in a stunning twist by joining League One outfit Hull City, Jan Molby's old club, on a month's loan.

The 28-year-old has mainly been deployed as cover for the highly rated Boaz Myhill due to injuries to their other 'keepers but could well be handed a permanent deal by boss Peter Taylor if he really impresses.

Brock stepped onto the bench for Hull's 3-2 victory over Milton Keynes Dons in mid-week.

Meanwhile, Molby failed to tempt Terry Cooke into a non-contract move to Aggborough after a brief training session with Harriers.

The ex-Manchester United player, who made eight appearances for the Premiership giants, is a free agent following his release from Motherwell.

But Birmingham-born Cooke, a £1 million signing for Manchester City in 1999 with games at Grimsby and Sheffield Wednesday also under his belt, turned down the offer.

Harriers were looking to fill the right-wing role vacated by West Bromwich Albion's Simon Brown, out for at least three weeks with a leg injury.

The one-month loan of impressive Portsmouth full-back Shaun Cooper is set to expire after Tuesday's clash at Chester City.

With Reuben Hazell set to start rehabilitation after knee surgery, Harriers are expected to ask for an extension to Cooper's spell.

The defender has now been joined at Kidderminster by Pompey's young scholar James Keene, an 18-year-old striker, on work experience. Harriers have been boosted by Iyseden Christie, Yossou Diop and Micky Mellon stepping up their training during the week.
