IT is surely time to call a halt to the Christopher Whitehead saga. For too long, the school has been left in limbo while county councillors have held out the prospect of a new school to be funded from dubious Tesco proceeds through the sale of land.
The Inspector has now ruled this out, and surely the county must have a "Plan B". Each secondary school in the city has had funding for extensions and upgradings as have other schools throughout the county.
Come clean, county council - with next year's budget under consideration, set capital funds aside to do the job properly. Worcester parents are entitled to receive the same consideration as others in the county.
ROGER E BERRY,
City Councillor,
Worcester.
