TORY schools policy riddle", read the headline on Paul Schofield's letter (You Say, Thursday, October 14).
In his response to Mary Dhonau over the Government's Inclusion Policy, he exposed the inconsistency that exists between the Conservatives at Westminster and County Hall.
Politics aside, closing special need schools due to lack of money and integrating mentally disabled pupils into mainstream schools is not only unfair and immoral, but it will not work.
This exercise in social engineering will result in making mentally disabled pupils vulnerable to school bullies and rob them of their dignity.
I remember well the hype of Mrs Thatcher's Caring in the Community Policy.
Consequently, because of their seemingly anti-social behaviour, alcoholics, schizophrenics and other mentally retarded people have been pushed from pillar to post until they became social outcasts.
Any politician who is prepared to implement this Inclusion Policy ought to hold their head in shame.
