A BAR team in Evesham has been recognised as pulling a perfect pint after scoring top marks in a national quality excellence scheme.
The Orchard restaurant, in Twyford, received high acclaim in the Perfect Serve competition, conducted by Stella Artois across all 248 Brewers Fayre venues in Britain.
Managers Paul and Marie Duggan were challenged to show off bar team members to show off their pouring skills and prove they could deliver a delectable drink.
The contest was carried out in secrecy, with mystery auditors from Stella Artois visiting each site.
To become the perfect pint-pourer, the bar team had to ensure that every pint was served at a temperature between 5-8C.
They also needed every pint to be poured with the perfect 1cm head.
"We really value our customers and know that they're becoming increasingly quality-conscious and even more discerning about what they drink," said Paul Duggan.
"Research has even shown that four out of 10 customers are prepared to leave an outlet if the quality of the beer or lager is poor.
"I'm really proud of the team's achievement and hope our customers will recognise the importance we place on serving the perfect pint."
