In a close fought first half, Fairfield Villa just had the upperhand and took the lead with 10 minutes gone with a fierce left-foot shot into the roof of the net.
Malvern pressed forward and played some nice football, Emily Prosser unlucky not to score. Villa's second goal came from a cross which came loose for a simple tap in.
The second half saw Malvern take control of the game creating several chances, Emily Prosser rounded the keeper only to see her shot cleared off the line.
Malvern's defence held strong with player-of-the-match Jenny Shail making several excellent saves. Despite still pushing forward it was not to be Malvern's day and this showed when a Polly Bounds' free kick hit the crossbar.
Malvern Ladies would like to thank their sponsors First Floor Flooring and The Soccer Site.
Malvern Ladies are back on league duty on Sunday when they play Kidderminster Harriers at Langland Stadium, 2pm kick-off.
