I HAVE read with great interest the letters regarding Christopher Whitehead School, having been a pupil there many years ago.
I am now retired and I agree with Councillor June Longmuir - it would be terrible for the pupils to be educated on a building site.
I visited the school a few months ago and was very shocked to see how dilapidated it had become.
I am sure if every parent was asked to vote on a new school or to modernise the present one no parent would want their child to be educated in such conditions.
I would be interested to know how many opposing the new school have actually got children who would be affected by this.
