EXTRA time goals from Alex Lewis and Simon Campbell secured Barnt Green Spartak's place in the second round of the FA Vase.

A late equaliser from Leicestershire outfit Barrow Town made the score 2-2 but the visitors secured a 4-2 win with their extra time display.

Delroy Brown missed two early chances before making amends with a good run down the right wing and crossed the ball onto the head of Warren Sewell who directed his header into the bottom corner on 35 minutes.

On 65 minutes Sewell should have put Spartak 2-0 up as he raced clean through with only the keeper to beat but dragged his shot wide. This proved costly as a Barrow free-kick took a wicked deflection to leave Kenny Sanders stranded in the Spartak goal.

The visitors regained the lead when Karrol Hamber came off the bench to score on 89 minutes following some good work from Sewell.

But Spartak hearts were broken deep in stoppage time when Barrow scrambled the ball past Sanders to make it 2-2.

Lewis scored the goal of the match as he cut in from the left wing and curled a 20-yard right-footed shot into the bottom corner six minutes into extra time.

Neil Ward then cleared an effort of the line as the Leicestershire side looked for an equaliser while Hamber went close at the other end.

On 110 minutes Barrow hit the Spartak crossbar but this was as good as it got from the home side who found themselves 4-2 down when good work from Chris Hanson saw him beat two players before squaring to the unmarked Simon Campbell who poked the ball home.

n Spartak extended their unbeaten run to six games in midweek with a 1-1 draw at home to Shifnal Town, Lloyd Sewell netting an equaliser midway through the second half.

n Fairfield Villa were beaten 3-0 at Atherstone Town in the second round of the Presidents Cup.

Keeper Dave White pulled off a number of fine saves but two goals from Roy Dunkley saw the Warwickshire side through.

n Droitwich Spa Ladies crashed to a 6-0 home defeat at the hands of Burlish Olympic.

Spa's young team were outfought and trailed 4-0 at the break.
