HOUSEHOLDS in Worcestershire have been warned to look out for batches of contaminated organic chicken.
Products from Tesco, Waitrose and Morrisons are among those containing traces of nitrofuran, a banned veterinary medicine linked to an increased risk from cancer.
They have been distributed by Moy Park, a food processor from Northern Ireland, and all have a sell-by date of mid-October.
County Trading Standards officers said the health danger level is said to be low and relates to long-term exposure.
Anyone who is concerned should visit www.worcestershire.gov.uk/tradingstandards or call 01905 765394 for a list of affected batches.
