REDDITCH waited for the last play of the game on Saturday to make sure of a point away against tough opponents Leamington.
Andy Brookes slammed home from a Tom Hiles penalty corner to make sure Redditch stayed unbeaten in the West Midlands League One.
Leamington had Redditch right where they wanted after a first minute opener followed by another 20 minutes in.
But a dressing room dressing down at half time saw Redditch return to the field revved up for a fight back.
Jason Spyer ran through to earn a penalty corner before man a of the match Andy Brookes despatched with ease but the visitors were made to wait for their equaliser.
Winger, Tom Hiles said: "We were absolutely appalling defensively - they just weren't functioning.
"Leamington came out of the traps very quick and we just didn't match them but we showed real bouncebackability to get a point."
The Bromsgrove Road side have a break from league action next week before they take on neighbours and only team to beat them pre-season - Bromsgrove.
Redditch seconds were involved in a nine goal thriller at home to a useful Kidderminster side.
Dave Baker grabbed two goals in the 5-4 victory.
