BACK by public demand, the hugely successful comedy The Play What I Wrote returns to Birmingham's Hippodrome Theatre, for one week only, from Monday.
Written and created by Hamish McColl, Sean Foley and Eddie Braben, The Play What I Wrote celebrates Britain's greatest comedy double act Morecambe and Wise.
Starring a surprise celebrity guest at every performance, last year's Hippodrome big names included Nigel Havers, Brian Connolly and Honor Blackman.
Kim Wall and Clive Hayward feature in the comedy which revolves around an epic play, set in the French Revolution, written by Kim called A Tight Squeeze for the Scarlet Pimple.
A spokesman explains: "Kim wants to see it mounted but Clive wants them to continue with the double act, even though they haven't worked for two years.
"He believes if they perform a tribute to Morecambe and Wise, Kim's confidence will be restored and the double act will go on.
"But first, Clive needs to persuade a guest star to appear in the play what Kim wrote."
The show runs until Saturday, November 6, with evening performances at 7.30pm and matinees on Wednesday at 2pm and Saturday at 2.30pm.
Tickets, priced £11-£28, are available from the box office on 0870 730 1234 or online at:
