FINDING the net three times proved sufficient for Kenilworth Town to claim a Stratford Alliance maximum last weekend but not enough for Badsey Rangers and Blockley Sports.

Kenilworth took three Journal Premier Division points at FISSC but Rangers lost out after a seven-goal thriller at Stratford Spartak for whom Kevin Kelly's brace proved crucial.

Blockley. meanwhile, had three players on target in their Cutler Division Two clash at Ilmington who replied with half-a-dozen from the same number of marksmen in a 6-3 victory. Solly Ndima, Matt Petty and Steve Smith all scored twice.

Adam Taylor and Trevor Towler were similarly successful in front of goal as Halfords Reserves defeated Park Tavern 5-0 in the same section, while Matt Green also bagged a brace as Bidford's second string easily overcame Welford.

The other match in the second division didn't produce a goal as the defences of the second team of Badsey Ran-gers and Red Alert both celebrated clean sheets.

Broadway managed the same in Herald Division One while their forwards scored five times including a double for Rich Craig.

Cubbington boasted a handful of goalscorers as Bod-rum's defence capitulated again in a 5-2 reverse. Else-where, there were 2-1 wins for Shipston and Studley Nags Head.

Quinton joined Kenilworth and Spartak in recording top flight wins after goals from Jim Bunn and Ian Sayer helped see off the challenge of Henley Forest.
