WOODRUSH got their second win of the season under their belts after a 14-11 drubbing of Cleobury Mortimer.
New Woodrush coach Matt Elwell said his team controlled the game from the first whistle, despite the inclement weather and managed the result thanks to a second-half try from winger Ed Lerner.
He said: "It sounds like closer game than it actually was if you read the scoreline, but we controlled most of the game.
"They scored a late consolation to put us under pressure at the end, but we emerged from it on top."
And Elwell is looking forward to pitting his wits against an experienced Kings Norton side on Saturday.
