I WOULD just like to thank the people at the Norbury for putting on films for us.

I went to the first one, Stage Beauty , and it was great. Not just the film but the venue. Big enough to have a cosy audience, but small enough to feel at home. You could actually hear the words spoken without that annoying background base hum you get in the big cinemas. And the words came from the front. Sound surround does not work with a dialogue film.

I wish them all the luck in this new venture.

Maybe they could try some of the more esoteric films that you have to drive to Birmingham to watch.
