OUR October meeting was well supported and after being welcomed to the meeting by Rene Cridge apologies were received, birthday wishes given out together with details of other WI markets in the area.
Roma, our secretary, dealt with the correspondence and explained about future items on the notice board for members to browse through, bringing our attention to a CD recorded by WI members. Business matters being dealt with, Betty Pickering introduced our speaker Mrs Elliott, who gave a talk on soft furnishings - a subject most interesting to our members. Bringing along many items to demonstrate with, Mrs Elliott gave a lovely commentary about amusing things happening in her career, finally ending up becoming a WI judge.
The competition was won by June Cant after which the raffle was drawn. Betty closed the meeting hoping to see many more members and visitors present next time at 2.15pm in the Masonic Hall, Churchfields, Bromsgrove, on Tuesday November 9.
