ENERGETIC residents are urged to don their leotards, sweat bands and cycling shorts ready for a fundraising exercise class.
Droitwich Spa Leisure Centre is participating in a nationwide attempt to smash the Guinness world record for the greatest number of people performing a specified aerobics routine at the same time.
It is being organised to raise funds for Children in Need and takes place on the same night of Friday, November 19.
"We are looking for literally hundreds of people to take part, as many as possible," said Sue Wakenshaw, the centre's gym manager.
The session runs from 7 until 9pm. For the first hour residents will be taught a routine, which has been specially choreographed by leading fitness expert Denise Page.
Then at 8pm the routine will be performed for 10 minutes, at exactly the same time as people at leisure centres all over the country.
It is open to anyone age of 14 and over and entry is £3, which will include a sponsorship form if participants wish to collect donations from families and friends.
"The important thing though is that we break this world record," added Sue.
All money raised will be split equally between Children in Need and the Myasthenia Gravis Association.
