WHAT'S more horrifying than this evil epic of a movie, is how the hell it grossed more than $100 million at the box office?
Van Helsing is the latest of Hollywood's fascination with taking not just one, but a few of history's great fiction books and turning it into a special effects mess.
Remember The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen? How could we forget.
Fresh from his encounter from Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, monster hunter Van Helsing's latest mission is to save Anna Valerious from the perilous clutches of Count Dracula - if she dies she and her whole family will be in a state of permanent purgatory.
Meanwhile, Transylvania's own Dracula is on the lookout for Dr Frankenstein's monster. Why? Well, because he's obviously the only person who can bring the Count's delightful offspring to life.
Former X-Man Hugh Jackman plays Van Helsing while Kate Beckinsale is every inch his match - and looks lovely with it - as the fearless Anna.
Bonus stuff on the small screen package includes the ever-prominent feature commentaries but also a comical bloopers section...slightly better than the film by the way!
