AS so-called teen movies go, Mean Girls isn't as good as some of the others like Clueless and Never Been Kissed, but it is still entertaining.
Yes, it's very silly and very corny - but it's two hours of escapism from the real world into the world of the American public schoolgirl.
Cady (Lindsay Lohan) has been raised by her zoologist parents in the African bush country where she has been home-schooled.
But when her parents eventually move back to America Cady has to settle into her new life as a 15-year-old high school pupil.
It's not an easy time for Cady as she struggles to fit in to one of the many cliques within the school, but when she comes across the queen bee Regina (Rachel McAdams) the trouble really begins.
Cady makes the mistake of falling for Regina's ex-boyfriend and then it's cat fights all the way.
There are some funny moments along the way, but definitely don't watch with your fella, send him off somewhere and get the girls round.
