PERSHORE Town visit Barnt Green Spartak tomorrow in another vital Midland Combination Premier Division fixture (2.45pm).

Director of Football and acting manager Richard Anson, who has seen his side pick up a much needed four points against two sides with championship ambitions, is not worried about another trip to one of the leading outfits.

"We fully deserved what we achieved against Cole-shill and Bloxwich, but we accept that we still have loads to do to get out of trouble," he said.

Anson continued, "funnily enough, the tempo seems to suit us when we are up against better sides, but sometimes when we have to dictate the pace of the game, we can struggle, but we are a young side and I am confident we will put that right," he said.

Anson welcomes back Martin West, Gordy Beauchamp and Matt Sock, all of whom missed Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Bloxwich.

New signing and ex Worc-ester City, Alvechurch, Racing Club Warwick and Malvern Town midfielder Mark Rollins is included in the squad, whilst youngster Mark Bellamy is also named.

The club is still looking for potential replacements for manager Nigel Russell, sacked earlier this month and they do have a feel for the type of manager they are looking for and how that person will fit within the overall structure.

Written applications should be forwarded to chairman Graham Merchant at the ground and enquiries can be made to director of football Richard Anson on 07769 710858.

Anson said, "we will not rush this appointment, things are reasonably well organised at the moment and we are an improving young squad, as the last two results have proved".

"So we need to get this decision absolutely right, as we are not just looking for someone who can help with the current situation, but to take the club forward as well," he said.
