PUNK, grunge, rock and heavy metal were just a few of the sounds pumping out of Arrow Vale Community High School last Thursday.
At Band Night 2004, pupils of all ages gathered to enjoy a musical marathan - performed entirely by the Greensward Lane school's pupils.
Some of the acts included all-girl grunge group Shoot the Drummer, and Snowblind, covering bands such as The Darkness in addition to performing their own songs.
Assistant headteacher Sonia Lanckham said: "This has always been a great event and a real celebration, but this year the hall was jam-packed and the atmosphere was absolutely electric on the night."
