ADAM Turner from Evesham excelled in the fifth round of the Junior Championship at Castle Combe achieving 25 points and he now lies third in the league 16 points ahead of his nearest rival.
Turner has had a succession of excellent race days this season consistently accumulating a high points tally in each round.
He lined up for his first heat in pole position and easily held his lead on the damp track, finishing with a five-second advantage.
In his second heat, Turner again took the lead after starting in fourth place and held off the rest of the grid to take another seven points.
Again in his third heat, his skill in the wet showed through as he zipped into first place after starting in third place and crossed the finishing line six seconds ahead of the his closest challenger.
With a further five points from his final heat, Turner raced into the final and started in second place on the grid. He raced determinedly throughout the eight-lap race and crossed the finishing line in third place just seconds adrift of the runner-up.
