THE Primrose Hospice and Cancer Help Centre is once again launching its annual Christmas appeal for the Tree of Light.
The tree will be situated at the back entrance to Debenhams and the lights will be switched on in conjunction with the Kingfisher Centre's festive lights on Thursday, November 18.
The hospice, based in St Godwald's Road, Bromsgrove, has teamed up with the Advertiser for the eighth year running to launch the campaign.
Everyone who donates to the appeal can have a light in memory of a loved one. Names of loved ones will be displayed around the base of the tree. The remembrance book will be in St Stephen's Church.
Primrose community fundraiser Lyn Winters said "For most people Christmas is a happy time but for many it is a time of reflection.
"We're very grateful to the generous residents for thinking of the Primrose Hospice as well as their loved ones at this special time, when we think about those who have played an important part in our lives and are no longer with us.
"The Tree of Light is a poignant reminder in which we can all share."
Three years ago, the appeal raised £12,500, the year after £13,500 and last year, £16,500 was raised.
Organisers are hoping residents will make this year even more of a success.
