INTEREST AND LEISURE CLUB: It was not very pleasant weather for the mystery tour. However, this was compensated by the interesting route the driver chose and members were determined to enjoy their day out.
The area toured was the county of Warwickshire and it was surprising how many pretty villages we passed through especially in the by-ways and the countryside was lovely with trees turning to autumnal colours.
For morning coffee the coach stopped in Alcester and for lunch at Evesham Country Park.
GARDENING CLUB: The club started their winter programme with a well attended meeting held in the WI hall. The speaker for the evening was Mr Duncan Coombs from Pershore College who gave an illustrated talk on the History and Gardens of Hidcote Manor. The chairman thanked the speaker.
The next meeting on November 15 will be the AGM and social evening.
