SO it came to pass. Worcestershire County Council caved in on the matter of a 7.5 tonne weight restriction on lorries passing through Willersey.
It leaves Gloucestershire with a free hand to appease Willersey Parish Council and more importantly the unelected forum to ban heavy goods vehicles.
This leaves parishioners in Badsey Lane living on top of the industrial estate, no chance of getting rid of the lorries.
But Collin Lane residents will find they are on the main thoroughfare to the Broadway bypass.
Residents of the two lanes have one consolation, this thing will not be implemented for two years, if the funding can be found.
They do say Eastbourne is very nice at any time, especially when the kitchen gets to hot.
