A GROUP of young people from Germany are due to visit Stourport next year on a reciprocal visit following a similar trip in the other direction by youngsters from the Wyre Forest town.
A party of 11 young Stourport residents recently went to Barby, which was previously part of the old East Germany, in line with a partnership arrangement set up following reunification of East and West Germany.
The aim of the arrangement is to enable young people from both countries to understand each other's traditions, history and culture more fully.
The visit to Barby was the eighth youth exchange organised since the link was established since 1995. During their stay, the visitors from Stourport visited places of national interest.
