BRIAN Humphries was the first Amazing Feet athlete to complete the Stroud Half Marathon, finishing 57th in a personal best time of one hour 18 minutes 53 seconds.
Twenty members competed in the 13th event of the club's race league. Several scored personal bests, though many took over a minute to cross the starting line in a field of over 2,000 runners.
Shaw Pye was the second club runner, 278th in a 1-31-49 (pb), followed by John Amos 281st 1-31-58.
This result leaves Amos at the top of the league, followed by Humphries, with just three races left. Craig Lewis, who completed the event in 297th place in 1-32-16 (pb) is in third place.
In the ladies section, Sarah Armstrong was 380th in 1-35-11 (pb), knocking half an hour off her half marathon previous best, and has the ladies title already, while Sarah Lewis has moved into second place with a 1,291st position in 1-58-37.
Other pbs: Mike Warren 395th 1-35-51, Gerry Sanders 484th 1-38-31, Martin Howles 590th 1-41-04, Simon Gregg 688th 1-43-43.
