A QUAD bike worth £1,300 was stolen from a shed in Kidderminster.
The 100cc red Apache bike was taken from a property in Walter Nash Road between 8pm last Thursday and 8.30am on Friday.
"This is a valuable item and one that may have been targeted, specifically," said a police spokesman. "We are appealing to anyone who saw anyone with a quad bike near Walter Nash Road between these times to get in touch. Equally, if anyone sees this bike for sale, please give us a ring.
"We would also remind people to think carefully about the safety of any valuable item being stored in a shed or garage.
"Our advice is to shut doors behind you so that thieves cannot see what you have and to use strong and secure padlocks.
"We also recommend that bikes, gardening equipment and other items of value are marked with your postcode in the same way you might protect your electrical goods in the home.
"This will make your property less attractive to a thief, as it will be harder to sell on, yet much easier to return to you, if found."
Anyone with information should call Kidderminster police station on 08457 444888 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
