KIDDERMINSTER Carolians' youth set up has scored success after becoming the first in the area to receive the North Midlands RFU's seal of approval.
KCs chairman of rugby Ian Wilson and mini and junior section chairman Chris Hopkirk took delivery of the award at a special sponsors day celebrating their achievement.
The accolade recognises the emphasis rugby clubs place on encouraging and developing young players and their coaching provision.
Colin Majors, chairman of the Midlands division of the RFU, visited Marlpool Lane on Sunday to present the award.
As part of the celebrations KCs under-13s played Moseley counterparts and came out 39-19 winners after running in seven tries.
Try machine Charlie Evans led the way with four, while Tom Eades went over twice and Will Short scored one and kicked two conversions.
There were also notable performances from Scott Mundie, Robert Owen, Billy Mullins, and Ewan McDonald.
