IT'S no wonder George Cowley received a personal response to his letter praising Tony Blair on his speech at the Labour Party conference - he probably was the only one.
When my eight-year-old son wrote to Mr Blair asking him to stop the closure of his school during the Redditch review of schools, he received a reply too - from an anonymous secretary promising to send his letter to the DfES. Guess what? He never heard again!
Perhaps if my son had praised Tony for shutting his school in the first place he would have received a personal reply as well.
Come on George why don't you come out - and admit you're preparing the ground to put up as the next Labour MP for Worcester!
MARK BRUNNER, Redditch.
