A MULTIPLE sclerosis sufferer from Kidderminster took her own life by overdosing on the painkiller coproxamol, an inquest has ruled.
County coroner, Victor Round, said 50-year-old Angela Westwood, from Avocet Drive, was found by her husband, Robert, lying on her bed on Monday, July 19.
Mr Round said Mrs Westwood was diagnosed with an aggressive form of MS in May, 2003, for which she was taking medication.
On the day of her death, her husband had left the house at around 2pm to visit a relative in a nursing home in Stourbridge.
When he returned, at around 5pm, Mrs Westwood was on her bed and her lips were blue. He called for an ambulance and tried to revive her. On their arrival, paramedics confirmed that she was dead.
At the inquest, on Tuesday last week, Mr Round said: "There was no evidence that she was suffering from depression."
