KIDDERMINSTER children are to be rewarded for their summer reading achievements at a special ceremony tomorrow.
More than 100 children took part in the Summer Reading Challenge, a nationwide event aimed at encouraging youngsters to read, particularly over the summer months.
They received collector folders to record the details of six library books and once they had read and discussed the books with the librarians, they received stickers.
The children who completed the challenger will be presented with certificates and medals by Kidderminster's mayor, councillor Siri Hayward, at the ceremony taking place at the library at 2pm.
Mary Flower, children's librarian said: "This year, we have received a lot of positive feedback from the parents, who have commented on how it has improved their children's reading."
