FUND-raisers will be dressing up in scary costumes at a Kidderminster pub on Saturday to raise money to help complete the construction of a new children's hospice.
A hallowe'en party is being held at the Viaduct Inn, Chester Road, Hoobrook, in aid of the new Acorns hospice being built in Worcester.
Kidderminster fund-raiser, Bill Taylor, who completed a trek in China three years ago in aid of the charity, has organised the Kidderminster event.
There will be family entertainment, beginning at noon, including a bouncy castle, face painting, raffle and a barbecue. During the evening, there will be a pool competition and disco.
Entrance is free although there will be a small charge for some of the activities and fancy dress is optional.
The proceeds will help Acorns to finish the final stage of the hospice. When it is completed, it will offer care and support for 250 life-limited children and their families across Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire.
It will also provide a hydrotherapy pool, multi-sensory rooms and family rooms.
The hospice is due to be completed in December and will welcome families early next year.
Acorns is keen to encourage more fund-raising events and is providing party packs with banner invitations, balloons and recipes for anyone who wants to throw a party in aid of the charity.
