THE Trio Ebano will be in concert in St Margaret's Church, Alstone, on Saturday, November 6, in the Parish Music series of concerts in village churches.
The programme will include works by Mozart, Arnold, Holst and Scott Joplin.
The trio was formed in January, 2003, when clarinettist Cristina Strike joined the duo formed by flautist Nicola Shorland and oboist Veda Lin.
All three are currently at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Nicola, from Bredons Norton, who studied flute under Susie O'Gorman, won this year's Gloucestershire Young Musician of the Year Award and went on to give a recital in the Cheltenham Festival.
Veda, originally from Singapore, is currently principal oboe of the London Philharmonic Youth Orchestra,
The concert starts at 8pm and admission is £5, students free. For details of the concert and a copy of the new Parish Music brochure contact Julian Alington on 01386 882060.
