YOUNGSTERS were given a taste of Fame in a musical theatre workshop at Upton Memorial Hall on Tuesday.
Led by professional dancer Ida Edman, 24 children aged from 12 to 18 were taught basic steps from the hit West End musical.
Miss Edman said it had gone brilliantly.
"The kids seemed really happy - you get a really good response from them.
"I've taught ever since I came out of college and it's great that I can still be inspiring to kids," she said.
The workshop, which followed one on street dance the previous day, was held following the response to a dance summer school Miss Edman held in Upton earlier this year.
Originally from Sweden, Miss Edman trained as a dancer at the Stella Mann College of Performing Arts in London and has worked in the chorus of West Side Story and on the Swedish version of Stars in Their Eyes.
