THE parents of a toddler who died in May have raised £1,500 for the Foundation for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (FSIDS).
Donna and Steve Foulkes, of Davenham Close, are swimming the equivalent of the English Channel at The Splash in memory of their son Adam, who died aged 16 months.
They will finish the sponsored challenge in December, when they hope to have raised £2,000.
Donna works at Abbey National in Malvern and the bank has promised to match whatever the couple raise up to £2,500.
Mr and Mrs Foulkes have also collected about £150 outside shops, held a clairvoyant evening that raised £147 and have been given £100 by community action group Gloucester Cobras.
Sponsorship forms are available in a variety of locations, including the Malvern Gazette office.
