THE Express golf and gambling society (EGGS) recently held their second captain's charity day and set out to beat last year's total of £2,600.
Captain Robin J Jackson again nominated last year's chosen charity (Lymphoma Research) and must be commended for his hard work and dedication to the day, ably supported by many but especially Stacey Cole. Robin ensured a fantastic day was had by all and initial expectations look like the total raised will be in excess of £5,000.
Special thanks must be made to all sponsors on the day, the Bransford (Bank House Hotel) Golf Club for their support, the Plough and Harrow, who superbly hosted the evening dinner/auction, and everyone who put their efforts into raising money for such a worthwhile cause close to the hearts of several EGGS.
