THE river was well up for this Sunday's racing at Arden Sailing Club but a brisk and increasing breeze enabled the dinghies to beat the current.
The Arden Burgee saw Eric Ison in his Laser perform well to win ahead of Niall Campbell and Jane Smee (Enterprise) and Andrew Potts (Solo).
The second race was run in an increasingly stiff and exciting wind which caused more than one capsize. Eric Ison found the conditions admirably suited him and won the Bert Thurlow Trophy race whilst Andrew Potts won the Solo race.
The Enterprise trophy race was won by Niall Campbell and Jane Smee.
