ONE of the hottest bands on the festival circuit is making a special appearance in Malvern on Saturday, November 6.
Three Daft Monkeys, based in Cornwall, will be playing at the youth centre in Albert Road North, supported by local group, The Alienz, in an evening of music that starts at 8pm.
Three Daft Monkeys have made a name for themselves at events across the UK, and have appeared with the Levellers, the Oysterband and Show of Hands, among others.
They combine Celtic, Balkan and other world music with dance, ska, reggae and folk to create an irresistible sound for their self-written songs.
The Alienz were formed as a four-piece band about two years ago and performed on the pub circuit for about a year, mainly playing cover versions but introducing more of their own songs.
Now expanded to a six-piece, with flute and fiddle, the band now concentrates on its own material, which has a Celtic/reggae influence.
Tickets, priced £7, £5 concessions, are available in advance from the Malvern Bookshop, Priory Steps, or on the door.
