A MEDIEVAL tale of murder, miracles and dirty habits is being brought to life at Bosbury Parish Hall.
North Country Theatre is bringing its latest ripping yarn, The Confession of Brother Wormwood, to the venue on Saturday, November 13, at 7.30pm.
Bosbury audiences will be familiar with its style of hilarious spoofs from two previous visits when The Lost World and 2001: A Space Idiocy were performed.
Promoter Brian Clutter-buck said: "They're a professional company and their shows are very, very funny. Anyone who saw one of them in their previous visits can tell you how good they are."
The new production, des-cribed as a cross between Name of the Rose and Kind Hearts and Coronets, is devised and directed by Nobby Dimon, who founded the company in 1995
Based in Richmond, North Yorkshire, it specialises in taking professional theatre into the country, performing in village halls, arts centres, churches, castles, railway waiting rooms and almost anywhere else.
"There's nothing I like better than working in the small theatres and village halls in rural areas where there's no pretension and artiness, where the crowd, and it usually is a crowd, is right up against the action, where actors share an interval cup of tea with the audience and yet still transport them five minutes later," said Nobby. "There is a real sense of a shared experience."
Tickets, priced £6, are available on 01531 640415.
